New Nissan Teana hits the Chinese auto market

The new Nissan Teana has been launched on the Chinese auto market, price starts at 177.800 yuan and ends at 244.800 yuan. The new Nissan Teana is basically the same car as the new 2013 US-spec Nissan Altima. A China-only extended Teana will be launched in October.

The Nissan Teana is made in China by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. Engines: a 2.0 with 140hp and 190nm and a 2.5 V6 with 185hp and 234nm, both mated to a CVT. The 3.5 V6 has been deleted. Size: 4868/1830/1490, wheelbase is 2775. The Teana competes with fine cars such as the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Volkswagen Magotan and Citroen C5.

Styling has much improved over the old Teana, which was a rather boring looking car. This thing loox sharp and certainly more exciting than the Japanese competition.

Interior spacious and light. Cheap version here, more expensive versions come with a much bigger screen in the center console. Materials look good. Chrome on steering wheel an interesting, and slightly weird, new feature.
