Spy Shots showing the facelifted Besturn B50 sedan testing in China. The new Besturn B50 will be launched on the China auto market in mid 2015. The facelifted B50 comes with a large sporty grille and a very sleek profile, almost with a fastback shape just like the recently launched new Besturn B70.

This is the current Besturn B50, is was last facelifted in September last year. Price starts at 92.800 yuan and ends at 122.800 yuan. Two engines: a 1.6 with with 106hp and 145nm, mated to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic, and a new 1.8 with 139hp and 172nm, mated to the same six-speed automatic.

The Besturn B50 is based on the old Mazda 6 that is still in production by the FAW-Mazda joint venture, and the 1.6 liter engine comes from the Volkswagen Bora which is made by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. Besturn is a brand of FAW, First Auto Works.

The facelifted Besturn B50 will continue to use the same platform. The 1.6 will likely be replaced by a new FAW 1.5 and the 1.8 will continue as well. Price range will be about the same.
