… a black side window, a chrome strip over the full side, chrome strips over the wheel arches, chrome strips over the door gaps, chromed window frames, chromed door handles, a chrome strip starting at the A pillar and running to the D-pillar via the roof, a partly chromed roof rack, sporty multispoke alloys with a red center, and whitewall tires. This car, is truly a work of art.

The first generation Santana has a long history in China. Production of the sedan started in 1983 at the Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture and the Variant was added in 1987. Both remained in production until January 2013. The current Santana was launched in December 2012 and is so far only available as a sedan.
