The Brilliance V3 is a new compact SUV with a daring design, scheduled for debut on the Shanghai Auto Show in April with a launch on the Chinese car market soon after that, price will range from around 80.000 to 120.000 yuan. The V3 will be positioned below the more conservatively styled Brilliance V5 SUV.
Rear door handle is located in the C-pillar. Small window between C and D pillars is darkened for extra cool but rear-view visibility will be extra limited. Black plastic over wheel arches for the crossover feeling. Wheels are big enough for once.
More funky funky inside with lots of alu detailing, spacy blue dials, and even the air vents look kinda hip.
Medium-sized LCD touch screen. Aircon controls nicely done.
Mirrors are huge, likely to compensate for mentioned poor visibility through the windows. Impressive front end continues to amaze, with a heavy chromed bar, a fuzzy vertical chrome bar in the middle, small mean looking headlights, and than that huge black hole in the lower bumper.
The V3 will be powered by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 111hp and 143nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. A 150hp 1.5 turbo will be added to the line-up later. Size: 4200mm/1790mm/1600mm, wheelbase is 2570.
