BYD Qin EV will hit the Chinese car market in March

The brand new BYD Qin EV will be launched on the Chinese car market in March. The Qin hybrid was launched in December 2013. The Qin EV is a full-electric vehicle powered by an electric motor with 218hp. Top speed will be 150 kilometers per hour and range will be an impressive 300 kilometer. Price including all green-car subsidies will start somewhere around 250.000 yuan.

    • It was surprisingly hard for BYD to make a competent safe EV of their own. I am surprised that they tried to follow up on Qin’s success as a standalone hybrid. Hopefully, it’ll meet all expectations with a few improvements for the price (Soft plastic, real/quality leather would really make Qin an international best-seller).
