Spectacular Spy Shots showing the final production version of the new 2017 Lincoln Continental naked inside and out in China. The black car on the photos is the top-spec ‘Presidential’ version. The Continental will have its public debut on the Beijing Auto Show later this month.

The ‘Presidential’ trim is the same as the North American ‘Black Label’ trim. It comes with black leather, light wood, and light orange leather on the dash and doors, and an alcantara ceiling (!). Screen for the infotainment system seems on the small side.

In China the only available engine will be the 3.0 twin-turbo with 400hp and 542nm, mated to a nine-speed automatic, sending horses to all four wheels.

Unlike most of its direct competitors the Continental will not be manufactured in China, which will make it more expensive in comparison.

The seats are adjustable in 30 ways (!?!) and the sound system has 19 speakers.

The seat looks interesting. All the separate parts are separately adjustable. From the back:

That is just not so pretty to look at. There also seems to be no space for a tv-screen for a rear-seat entertainment system. Bench looks awfully flat.

And what about white-wall tires..?

LED lights and a very busy shiny grille.

  1. When will FoMoCo start building Lincolns in China? they’ve already had some success with imports, the MKC, MKZ, MKX, Continental and new Explorer and Ecosport based suvs, if built in china, could rival Cadillac, Lexus, JLR, Infiniti, Genesis and the nascent Chinese luxury marques
