This is the Zhidou D3, a new electric mini car from China. It will be launched on the Chinese car market in Q3, positioned above the Zhiodu D2. It is classified by the Chinese government as a full-fledged electric car, not an LSEV, so it can hit the highway and buyers will get the green-car subsidies.

Design is very nice for the segment; modern and sporty, with a big and shiny grille, a spoiler above the rear window, and a trendy full-width light unit.

The two-seat Zhidou D3 is powered by an electric motor with an output of 40 horsepower, mated to a 17.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Top speed is 100 km/h. The company hasn’t announced the range yet, but a good guesstimate would be somewhere between 170 and 200 kilometers.
