The technology of Chinese electric cars has been improving very fast, but design sadly remained unexciting, weird, or plain ugly. That however is now slowly changing, we have seen some very decent EV design recently, and a case in point is this new JAC 330. It looks sharp, clean, sporty, it has just enough blue, and the wheels are in racy rally style.

The JAC 330 is based on the petrol powered JAC Heyue. Current price starts at 62.800 yuan and ends at 75.800 yuan. Engine is a 113 hp 1.5.

Sporty bumper again and a big black JAC badge. ‘330’ badge on the lower right. There is another badge on the left of the EV badge, but it has been blurred, this is probably the name of a new series of JAC EVs we have been hearing about. More on that as we get it.

The 330 is powered by an electric motor with 144 hp, good for a 130 km/h top speed and a 330 kilometer range. Not bad for the segment. The JAC 330 will hit the Chinese auto market in the first half of 2018. Price including subsidies will start around 70.000 yuan.
