The Thunder Power EV debuted on the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany, looking super sleek and super fast, designed by non other than the famous Italian design studio Zagato. Grille is a massive eye catcher, supported by boomerang headlights and enormous wheels with shiny multispoke alloys. Is this then going to beat the crap out of Tesla, more so than the Aoxin Ibis and the Youxia X?

Borgward BX7 debuts on the Frankfurt Motor Show

The resurrected Borgward brand debuted on the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany with the new Borgward BX7 SUV, just days after we saw the first spy shots and the first official photos.

The BX7 will launch on the Chinese car market in the first half of 2016, followed by India and Brazil in 2017, and followed by Europe in 2018. The BX7 will be manufactured in the Chinese capital Beijing by Foton Motor. Debut in China is expected for the Guangzhou Auto Show in December.

Here we have the massively expensive Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner 24K Gold Edition, it debuted yesterday on the Hong Kong Shenzhen Macau Auto Show in the great city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, one of the richest cities in country and home to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Shandong EV Expo in China: the Rodi RD220 Scootercar

This is the mellow-yellow Rodi RD220 Scootercar, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo (intro) in Jinan City. The Rodi D220 Scootercar is is designed for holiday resorts and features a striking design centered around a steel structure starting at the nose, going up to the roof, en ending down the sides. The vehicle is designed by a fellow Dutchman (Delft!) and the man in charge of production in China hails from Holland as well. May they succeed.

This is the beautiful Xuanyu Xuanlai, a new low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo (intro) in Jinan City. The Xuanyu Xuanlai is a four-wheel four-door electric mini car, featuring a very shiny Aston Martin Cygnet-style grille, bright burning fog lights, a large blue logo on the bonnet, a huge windscreen with a single wiper, speedy decals on the sides, mirrors bigger than a truck’s, and sporty six-spoke alloys.

This is the the Dexing Jinniu, a new low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo (intro) in Jinan City. The Dexing Jinniu is a four-wheel four-door electric mini car, featuring a Mini-like grille, blue headlights reminiscent of the Smart ForSpeed concept (already cloned once), a tall greenhouse, an endless windshield with a single wiper, and sporty multispoke alloys.

This is the amazing Hongdi Little Flying Tiger mini truck, a new low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo  (intro) in Jinan City. The tiny truck is similar in concept as the Xiaomi Cute and the Coope Kuka, but comes with a more traditional army-style design, painted in army green and fitted with LED lights and sporty shiny 8-spoke alloys.

This is the wonderful Yi’an YA II City Tricycle, a new low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo  (intro) in Jinan City. It was absolutely one of the weirdest and greatest vehicles on the show, featuring a front with a smile, pink-character decals, an impossible narrow plastic body, a large windshield with a single wiper, and huge black mirrors. The man in black with a hat was the owner of the company, we said ni hao and exchanged cards, but he was not of the talkative kind.

This is the new Yogomo Jieshun mini MPV, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo  (intro) in Jinan City. When we saw the first photos of the Jieshun last year we thought it was one of the coolest Chinese vehicles ever, until readers pointed out it looked a tad too much like the 2011 Volkswagen Bulli concept. And it does. Cloning concept cars instead of production cars is certainly an interesting idea, although not really entirely new. We also asked for more chrome in the grille (see original), and Yogomo complied, with a super fat shiny grille with one thick bar and three thinner ones. Now for the Bulli:
