The Bugatti Veyron Vitesse WRC debuted today on the Shanghai Auto Show. The Vitesse (meaning ‘speed’) WRC (World ReCord) is an eight-car special edition of the mighty Veyron, celebrating Bugatti capturing the world record for the World’s Fastest Open-Top Production Car, which was set by Chinese driver Anthony Liu.
A beautiful black Bugatti Veyron seen at night in a traditional neighborhood in the great city of Shanghai. The Veyron is not officially available in China anymore, but good-as-new exaples keep arriving from abroad. This particular black car came from Beverly Hills.
The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Edition Merveilleux debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2011. At the time Bugatti said it was a one-off for a wealthy 40-year old Chinese customer called ‘Simon’. But!, there seems to be another Edition Merveilleux around, also in China, in the great city of Chongqing. It has the words ‘Edition Merveilleux’ on the doors and it has the same alloys as the Shanghai-car.
Back now to the supercar festival on the Shanghai F1 Circuit last week. Earlier on we saw five Ferrari Enzo’s hitting the track together but there was more. Bugatti joined the party and brought two extremely rare hyper machines to Shanghai; the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.
The fastest convertible in the world, the mighty Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse, landed at the Beijing Auto Show earlier this week, marking the first time the Vitesse was on show in China. Those with the money can order it immediately, Bugatti didn’t say the price but the standard Veyron Grand Sport starts at 24.5 millon yuan, or 3.88 million USD. The Vitesse likely won’t be cheaper than 30 million yuan.
Volkswagen’s China head office is only two blocks away from the CarNewsChina office towers in Beijing. On the first floor of the building Volkswagen has a showroom with always interesting cars. This time was the best so far with this extremely rare Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire, in celebration of Bugatti’s 100th anniversary.
Another special edition from the Veyron, this time from the Grand Sport. Not a true special like the Edition Merveilleux we saw earlier but one in a color sceme that will never be replicated. The carbon is in blue and so are the alloys, the car has been sold and will remain in China.
A very special edition of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. It is called the ‘Edition Merveilleux’ and there is only one on the planet, right now in Shanghai, and it has already been sold to a very rich Chinese businessman.
It is all black with even more naked carbon than on the ‘regular’ Super Sport. It has the words Edition Merveilleux on both doors. Interior is all white. An amazing beauty, but there is yet another special Veyron in Shanghai, more on that one later. For now; enjoy the pics:
TopSpeed posted a post about a Bugatti Veyron Mobile phone for 200 dollar. But there is more, here is the Veyron GT, in red and black.
