The Volkswagen CrossGolf and Golf Variant debuted at the 2011 Chengdu Auto Show. Both cars have been listed on the China car market immediately. Price for the CrossGolf is 243.000 yuan, price for the Golf Variant starts at 258.000 yuan and ends at 298.000 yuan.

The extra Golfs will be imported in China, there are no plans yet for local production. Power comes from the 1.4 TSI with 118kw, the same engine for both cars. China is a tough market for wagons as most buyers prefer either a sedan or a hatchback.Volkswagen is testing the waters…
