General Motors will recall 6,365 imported Buick Enclave cars due to their weak windshield wipers, China’s top quality watchdog said on Monday. The cars in question were produced between Jan. 17, 2010 and March 5, 2012, according to a statement released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The cars have faulty windscreen wipers and the defect would lead to drivers’ views being hindered and danger under extreme circumstances, the administration said. The recall starts on Monday. Buick service centers will phone affected car owners to make appointments for free vehicle checks, according to the statement.

  1. What makes me laugh about this, is that the defective wipers are probably still better than 99% of the taxi’s wipers.
