New spy shots show the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid 4 THP testing in China. The standard 3008 is currently imported but the China-made 3008 will hit the Chinese car market very soon. The 3008 hybrid is based around a diesel engine, passenger cars with diesel engines are forbidden in many Chinese cities, no matter hybrid or not. The lone 3008 on pics is therefore likely some sort of demo car although Chinese press is speculating on a 3008 hybrid with a patrol engine, which they say could be imported, thus not made in China, as early as next year.
