Great Wall Tengyi V80 gets a 1.5 turbo in China

The Great Wall Tengyi is a medium sized MPV, aimed mostly at fleet and taxi companies. The V80 was only available with 2.0 and 2.4 patrol engines but that has changed because Great Wall has launched the V80 1.5 turbo on the Chinese car market. The new engine has an output of 130hp and 188nm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Price for the Tengyi V80 1.5 turbo starts at 73.900 yuan and ends at 102.900 yuan. The 2.0 sits almost in the same area with 69.800 yuan to 109.800 yuan. Output of the 2.0 is 133hp and 175nm. The 1.5 uses less patrol and seems the perfect replacement for the 2.0, price and power-wise. Great Wall however will continue the 2.0, at least for now, but it seems only a matter of time before it gets killed.
