Spy Shots: new FAW-Besturn B50 testing in China
New spy shots of the new FAW-Besturn B50. The new Besturn B50 will debut next year, likely at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. The new car will get much sportier and sharper lines than the outgoing Besturn B50. Platform however will remain unchanged. The Besturn B50 is based on the old Mazda 6 that is still in production by the FAW-Mazda joint venture, the 1.6 liter engine comes from the Volkswagen Bora, which is made by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture.
The current Besturn B50, price starts at 68.800 and ends at 125.800 yuan. Lone engine is the aforementioned 1.6, mated to a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. Output is 106hp.
