The new 2015 Chevrolet Equinox will be made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. The current Equinox (pictured) is not available in China. The 2015 Equinox will also spawn a Buick Crossover which will be made in China as well.

Design of the Buick will be inspired by the Envision concept that debuted on the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show. The Envision was designed in China by the Shanghai-GM Pan-Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC).

The 2015 Chevrolet Equinox will be powered by a new 2.5 liter four-cylinder with 196hp and 253nm. The China-made Equinox will also get a 2.0 turbo with 220hp.
