Patent Applied: Hyundai i10 to Come to China

Hyundai has applied for patent on the Hyundai i10 city car for the Chinese auto market. The i10 is expected to launch in China sometime in 2015. The Hyundai i10 will be manufactured by the Beijing-Hyundai joint venture. It will be the cheapest hatchback in the line-up with price starting around 60.000 yuan.

The Hyundai i10 is currently manufactured in Turkey for European markets and in India for Asian markets. On pic a Philippine-spec model. The i10 is available with three engines: a 1.0 three-cylinder petrol, a 1.2 four-cylinder petrol, and a 1.1 three-cylinder diesel. China will get the petrol engine but will do without the diesel.
