Besturn X80 Sport hits the Chinese car market

The Besturn X80 Sport has been launched on the Chinese car market, priced at 155.800 yuan. The X80 Sport is a sporty variant of the X80 SUV. It comes with a black grille with a red stripe, darkened windows, a black skid pad, a black roof rack, and sporty five spoke alloys with red brakes. Besturn is a brand of First Auto Works (FAW).

A bit more sporty here with black leather seats with some red detailing.

Biggest news however lies under the bonnet. The Besturn X80 Sport is powered by a new 1.8 turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 180hp and 235nm, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Sadly however the new engine is not a Sport-only, as it is also available in the normal X80 with the same amount of horses.

Two square exhaust pipes are Sport exclusive.

The standard Besturn X80. Note chrome colored roof rack. Price starts at 119.800 yuan and ends at 181.800 yuan. Also available with a 147hp 2.0 four-cylinder petrol. The old 161hp 2.3 liter four-cylinder petrol has been cancelled for the 2015 model year.

Saw one of these in Ningbo, looks very good from the rear 3-quarter view, especially in black -even when a bit dusty.
