The new BMW M4 CS has been launched n the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show in China, looking absolutely brilliant in dark blue with matte gray wheels. The M4 CS fills the gap between the M4 Competition Package and the M4 GTS. It will see a limited two-year production run until 2019.

Yellow brakes and a carbon fiber spoiler.

The BMW M4 CS is powered by the well known twin-turbocharged six-in-line, good for 460 horses and 600 newton meter, mated to a seven speed DCT. The CS will go from 0 to 100 in just 3.9 seconds and top out at 280 kilometers per hour.

The interior is draped in gray alcantara and black leather, making for a somewhat sombre atmosphere.  There is a CS badge on the right side of the the air vents, and that is about all the fun there is. BMW continues to fit these outdated analogue instruments, which are starting too look very old fashioned in a new 2017 car. Busy center stack doesn’t help either. BMW should have a good look at Volvo and Mercedes-Benz.

Haven’t they been using this stick design for over ten year now..? And look at those buttons on the left side of the stick; those look really outdated as well.

Diffusser comes straight from the GTS. Four big pipes. Lights with the latest OLED technology.

A true new M is always great and especially when it is as fast as this new BMW M4 CS, but the old school interior lets it down.
