This is the new Chery Tiggo 5 SUV and it looks a trillion times better than the outgoing car. It has style, stance, and sportiness. The new Tiggo 5 will hit the Chinese auto market in Q3. Price will range from 90.000 to 150.000 yuan.
A very short rear overhang, black A-B-C pillars, and an extra wide D. The roof is black as well and fitted with a properly usable rack. There is black plastic around the wheel arches for the rough ‘n ready look.
Power will come from a 1.5 turbo four-cylinder with an output of 147hp, mated to a 6-speed manual or a six-speed DCT, sending horses to the front wheels.
The new Chery Tiggo 5 is the first car on the T1X platform. Next up is a seven-seat variant of the Tiggo 5. That car will not be called the Tiggo 7 because there already is a Tiggo 7. Size new Tiggo 5: 4338/1830/1645, and wheelbase is 2640.
Rear lights and bumper beautifully done.
The interior with a lot of panels in body color, and a very wide center tunnel in Hummer-style. Some might say the vents are shaped oddly, others might say they are shaped hiply.
Screen a perfect 9 inch square.

Chery logo a tad too close to the shiny bar. Exhaust pipes are invisible.
