The Changan A800 has been launched on the Chinese car market. The A800 is a cheap seven-seat MPV. Price starts at 59.900 yuan and ends at 119.900 yuan.

This kind of MPVs are fast becoming very popular in China, stealing sales from SUVs and sedans. Are these things going to kill the SUV boom? They might, they might…

The A800 seats seven in a 2/2/3 seat setup. Size: 4810/1795/1750, and wheelbase is 2760.

There are two engines available: a 1.6 with 125hp mated to a five-speed manual and a 1.5 turbo with 156hp mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.

Interior a tad too dark but it comes with nice faux-leather seats and a 10 inch touch screen.

Instrument panel is fully digital and very techy.

The infotainment system has Baidu CarLife and WiFi.

Second row.

Third row will be tight for three adults.

Wheels are the widest we have seen in this segment, and that is a good thing.
