New GAC Mitsubishi Outlander Rolled Off Production Line, Will Launch On Nov 19 In China

On November 15, the new GAC Mitsubishi Outlander officially rolled off the assembly line in Hunan, China. The car is expected to launch on November 19 offering seven models, including four two-wheel drive and three four-wheel drive models.

Pre-sales already started at the end of September with a price range of 170,000 – 230,000 RMB (24,100 – 32,600 USD). Customers can choose from six body colors.

The size of the car is 4710/1862/1745mm with a 2706mm wheelbase. The A-pillar is blackened and the D-pillar is decorated with chrome-plated trim.

In the front, the grille is decorated with three horizontal chrome-plated strips and two C-shaped chrome strips on both sides.

Notable design elements in the rear include a small roof spoiler, slender taillights, and silver guard plate decorations in the bumper section.

Customers can select from two interior color options: black and gray. The interior comes with a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 10.25-inch central control screen, a 10.8-inch head-up display, and a four-spoke steering wheel.

In terms of safety, the new Mitsubishi Outlander is equipped with a level 2 driving assistance system, eight airbags, and active and passive safety features including Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Assist for Pedal Misapplication which detects obstacles such as walls, and when driving forward can also detect people and other cars.

The car adopts a 7-seat layout.

The new Mitsubishi Outlander is powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder engine and a 48V hybrid system, with a maximum power of 215hp and a peak torque of 280Nm, mated to a simulated 8-speed CVT.
