Xpeng delivered 8,620 EVs in June, down 43% year on year

On July 1, Xpeng Motors released its latest delivery data, providing insights into its performance. In June, 8,620 new cars were delivered, representing a year-on-year decrease of 43%. The cumulative sales for the year’s first half reached 41,435 units, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 40%. As of June 30, 2023, Xpeng’s cumulative deliveries have surpassed 300,000 units.

One of the significant highlights for Xpeng Motors in June was the launch of the Xpeng G6 on June 29. The price range for the G6 is between RMB 209,900 and RMB 276,900. Pre-sale orders for the vehicle had already exceeded 35,000 units by June 28. Impressively, the Max version of the G6 accounted for a high purchase ratio of 70%. Deliveries for the Xpeng G6 are scheduled to commence this month, and the Max version will immediately feature the XNGP high-level intelligent driving assistance capabilities. The official website shows the current reservation and delivery time is 12 weeks.

Xpeng has plans to introduce the “AI driving” mode, which is expected to be rolled out to all Max version users in the fourth quarter of this year. The XNGP weekly user penetration rate has already reached an impressive 94.6%.

Positioned as a medium-sized coupe pure electric SUV, the Xpeng G6 boasts dimensions of 4753/1920/1650 mm (length, width, and height) and a wheelbase of 2890 mm. It has six color options: Melting Cloud Orange, Crescent Silver, Xingyu Qing, Photon Blue, Xingque Gray, and Nebula White.

Regarding power options, the Xpeng G6 offers both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive variants. The two-wheel drive version boasts a maximum power of 218 kW and a peak torque of 440 Nm. On the other hand, the four-wheel drive version delivers a combined power of 358 kW and a combined torque of 660 Nm. The G6 has a 66 kWh LFP battery or an 87.5 kWh NMC battery pack, both supporting 800V fast charging. The comprehensive CLTC range for the G6 reaches an impressive 755 km.
