Recently, Haval announced that its new 2024 Big Dog SUV will be launched on July 25, which is a facelift model of the First-Generation Big Dog, not the Second-Generation Big Dog. For reference, the price range of the current Big Dog is 119,900 – 167,900 yuan (16,700 – 23,300 USD).

As a facelift model, the overall shape of the 2024 Haval Big Dog has not changed much with minor adjustments in both the front and rear. The large grille in the front has thicker horizontal silver bars for decoration integrated with an even bigger ‘HAVAL’ brand logo. The round headlights on both sides are retained, giving it a retro hardcore off-road style. Furthermore, the lower section is equipped with a silver-gray anti-scratch plate.

The rear is equipped with a small spoiler. The taillights are blackened and connected by a black trim strip, which enhances the visual width of the car.

From the side, the car runs on double five-spoke rims and comes with roof luggage racks, high clearance wheel eyebrows, and blackened side skirts. Positioned as a compact SUV, the size of the new car is 4620/1890/1780mm, with a 2738mm wheelbase.

Inside, the interior remains unchanged, which is equipped with a circular three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a 12.3-inch central control screen. The center console and the door trim are covered with more leather materials. Additionally, the armrest and square-shaped air conditioning outlets are decorated with orange elements. Other configurations include a level 2 advanced driving assistance system, a head-up display, and wireless charging.

The 2024 Haval Big Dog will be powered by either a 1.5T or 2.0T engine. The 1.5T engine outputs a maximum power of 184 hp and a peak torque of 275 Nm, mated to a 7DCT. The 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 238 hp and a peak torque of 385 Nm, mated to a 9DCT.
