Chery Fengyun T6 is a rebadged Tansuo 06, enters market at 17,900 USD

On June 20, Chery officially launched its Fengyun T6 SUV, with a total of three trims, namely, Air, Pro, and Max. Its price range is 129,900 – 156,900 yuan (17,900 – 21,600 USD). The Fengyun T6 is the plug-in hybrid version of the Chery Tansuo 06 SUVFengyun, also known as Fulwin, is a new energy vehicle brand under Chery launched in late 2023.

The front adopts a closed design paired with the Chery Fengyun logo in the middle, a through-type LED light strip, and split headlights on both sides.

The rear adopts a hidden exhaust layout.

The Chery Fengyun T6 measures 4540/1865/1670 mm, and the wheelbase is 2672 mm. For comparison, the Chery Tansuo 06 C-DM measures 4501/1865/1670 mm, and the wheelbase is 2672 mm. From the side, the blackened A, B, C, and D pillars create a floating roof effect. At the same time, the popular hidden door handles are not absent.

The car runs on 18-inch (entry-level trim) or 19-inch rims.

The interior is consistent with that of the Chery Tansuo 06 C-DM, equipped with a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, a HUD, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a 14.8-inch vertical central control screen with a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. In addition, the bottom of the center console is hollowed out to provide additional storage space.

As the entry-level trim, the Air comes standard with front side airbags, a rear radar, cruise control, imitation leather seats, and a 6-speaker audio system. Compared with the Air, the Pro version has front/rear airbags, a front radar, an openable panoramic sunroof, external mirror heating & automatic folding when locked, and electric adjustment of the driver seat. Furthermore, the Max supports lane departure warning, active braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, multi-color ambient lights, and an electric tailgate.

Power comes from a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 115 kW 1.5T engine and a 150 kW electric motor, with a total system power of 265 kW (355 hp) and a total torque of 530 Nm. Its 18.32 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack from BYD’s FinDreams offers a CLTC pure electric range of 120 km. Under a full tank and full charge, the comprehensive range is 1,300 km. The fuel consumption is 4.9L/100km. Under fast charging, it takes ~19 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 80%.
