On October 13, Chery launched its Fulwin T9 plug-in hybrid SUV that is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries. Starting from November this year, the Fulwin T9 series will all switch to using lithium iron phosphate batteries. The price range of the new version is consistent with that of the ternary lithium battery versions on sale: 129,900 – 169,900 yuan (18,400 – 24,000 USD):
- 2024 120km long-range standard lithium iron phosphate
- 2024 120km long-range comfort lithium iron phosphate
- 2024 120km long-range luxury lithium iron phosphate
- 2024 120km long-range flagship lithium iron phosphate
Compared with the ternary lithium battery versions on sale, the new car has the same functional configurations, dimensions, and design, except for the battery type and capacity.
The entry-level trim adopts a 5-seat layout, the mid-range trim offers 5-seat and 7-seat options, and the high-end trim comes standard with 7 seats.
The size of the vehicle measures 4795/1930/1738 (1741) mm, and the wheelbase is 2770 mm, positioned as a medium-sized SUV. The car runs on 235/55 R19 and 245/50 R20 tires.

Power continues to come from a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and a peak torque of 220 Nm while the front motor has a maximum power of 150 kW (201 hp) and a peak torque of 310 Nm, bringing the comprehensive system power to 265 kW (355 hp) and the peak torque to 530 Nm. The maximum speed is 180 km/h and the WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is 1.35L/100km.
The lithium iron phosphate battery pack capacity is 18.67 kWh, which is slightly lower than that of the ternary lithium model (19.43 kWh), but still provides an official CLTC pure electric range of 120 km and a WLTC comprehensive range of 1,400+ km. Under fast charging, it takes 20 minutes to replenish the battery from 30% to 80%. Otherwise, the slow charging time is three hours.
Furthermore, five driving modes are supported, namely, HEV, EV, normal, economy, and sports.
The cockpit is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and features a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch 2.5K central control screen, a W-HUD only for the high-end trim, a Sony audio system, and an AI-powered intelligent voice assistant.
