The Xpeng P7+ was launched on November 7. On November 8, the company announced that the vehicle received 31,528 firm orders during the day of launch, which broke the brand’s record. The Xpeng P7+ is offered in three trims with a price range of 186,800 – 218,800 yuan (26,100 – 30,600 USD):
- Long Range Max: 602 km – 615 km* range, 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds
- Ultra Long Range Max: 710 km – 725 km* range, 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 5.9 seconds
- Limited Edition Max: only 500 units are available for the first batch, 685 km – 700 km* range, 0 -100 km/h acceleration time of 5.9 seconds
*This is the expected CLTC range after the planned OTA updates in December.
Furthermore, He Xiaopeng, chairman of Xpeng, announced on social media that the P7+ had received over 10,000 firm orders within 12 minutes of its launch.
The Xpeng P7+ comes in five exterior paints: silver, beige, white, black, and purple; and three interior themes: Airy Gray, Deep Space Gray, and Longyue Beige.
Its length, width, and height are 5056/1937/1512 mm, respectively, and its wheelbase is 3000 mm. Xpeng claims that the P7+ uses the world’s thinnest battery pack – 109 mm thick. Its drag coefficient is 0.206Cd.
In terms of power, the Xpeng P7+ is equipped with a rear electric motor and an 800 V platform. The motor is divided into two versions: high and low power. The high-power version is 230 kW (308 hp)/450 Nm and the low-power version is 180 kW (241 hp)/450 Nm. The maximum speed can reach 200 km/h. Two lithium iron phosphate battery pack options are offered: 60.7 kWh and 76.3 kWh, corresponding to CLTC cruising ranges of 602 km, 710 km, and 685 km.
Inside, the interior features a 15.6-inch central control screen, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel; an 8-inch rear entertainment screen; a 2.1㎡ panoramic sunroof, which the company said can block 99.9% of ultraviolet rays; Nappa leather seats that support heating, ventilation, and massage functions; 20 speakers; ambient lights that support four modes, namely, welcome, breathing, music rhythm, and door opening warning; eight mobile phone slots; three multi-function hooks; and two magnetic panels.
Additionally, the standard trunk volume is 725 L and can be expanded to 2221 L, which can hold 33 20-inch suitcases, according to Xpeng.
