Chery EV wagon concept car with a solid-state battery

Chery will display a wagon concept at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, which opens on November 15. The concept reportedly previews a high-tech EV that will be in the Fulwin series of cars.

Features include an 800V platform and a solid-state battery, L3 driving assistance, and an intelligent cockpit. There will be a 30,000-rpm motor, and the car will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds with a top speed of 260 km/h. Furthermore, it will be equipped with four-wheel steering and steer-by-wire technology. The solid-state battery will give a range of up to 1500 km. The car will also have dual-chamber air suspension and CDC shock absorption.

The concept features a very aggressive design. At the front, there are distinctive LED running lights and hidden headlights. There is also a panoramic dome, a color-changing sunroof, and streaming side-view cameras. In the rear, there is an active spoiler and a through taillight.

Inside, the car will have a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, with the system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. There will be an AI voice assistant and a 23-speaker sound system. The front passenger seat will fold flat, and the rear seats will be adjustable by 15 degrees.

Editor’s note:

The information about the concept reads like a dream list. However, many of these technologies are not far off. For example, Chery recently announced that it is working on a solid-state battery. Furthermore, the concept itself looks not that far off the realms of a production model. Such a car would likely compete against cars like the Nio ET5T and the Zeekr 001.
