Recently, Chery’s Fulwin series’ new concept car, Jinyun, was spotted in China. The new car is positioned as an “all-scenario leisure small MPV”, signaling the series’ entry into the new energy MPV market. The official unveil will occur at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show, which will open on November 15, along with another EV wagon concept car.
For the exterior, the Fulwin Jinyun adopts the “oriental beauty is the world’s beauty” design concept, paired with the jade paint. Positioned as a concept car, the overall appearance feels technological with a large-angle inclined A-pilar and digital side mirrors. The transparent roof rack is made of solar panels to provide additional power to the vehicle. At the rear, the transparent tailgate is framed by circular taillights.
Power will come from Chery’s seventh-generation Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system, which consists of a 2.0T engine and an electric motor, mated to a 3DHT, offering a comprehensive range of up to 2,500 km. At the same time, the Fulwin Jinyun will also support tank turn and crab mode.
Furthermore, more than 55% of the car body uses 2000MPa submarine-grade hot-rolled steel and aluminum alloy. The vehicle is equipped with far-side airbags, tail airbags, and extra-long side curtain airbags. The chassis comes with a height-adjustable air suspension and a shock absorption system.
In terms of intelligent driving, the Fulwin Jinyun will be equipped with the CPilot5.0 advanced driving assistance system, which has functions such as intelligent scanning and environmental information interaction, supporting high-speed and urban Navigate on Autopilot as well as parking assist. For example, this system is expected to be able to pre-scan unpaved roads and then actively adjust the shock absorber.
The dashboard is minimalistic, featuring a half steering wheel, hidden air-conditioning outlets, and two tube-looking structures on each end.
The interior adopts a two-row seat layout, along with an island in between the two rows, decorated with mint color. The floor is covered in suede materials.
The seats can rotate 180° while the second-row seats look like sofa style. The rear panoramic window area is 1.3m². There is also a multifunctional modular front trunk, offering variable bench seats, a mobile kitchen, and a barbecue grill.
