On February 25, BYD released the official images of its Qin L EV. The EV is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo and comes standard with the “God’s Eye” C (DiPilot 100) intelligent driving system.

Overall, the BYD Qin L EV adopts the series’ latest “Dragon Face” design language. In the front, the “Qin” character engrained at the center of the chrome decorative plate indicates the identity of the vehicle, paired with triangular headlights and a closed grille.

At the rear, the blue “God’s Eye” logo is located on the lower right, realized by 29 sensors, supporting intelligent high-speed navigation and parking functions. It is worth mentioning that BYD’s “God’s Eye” system is divided into three offerings:

  • A (DiPilot 600): featuring three lidars, mainly used for high-end brands
  • B (DiPilot 300): featuring1 to 2 lidars, mainly used for the 200,000 yuan models
  • C (DiPilot 100): consisted of only cameras, mainly used for models under 200,000 yuan

Additionally, the taillight adopts the series’ Chinese knot design and the charging port is located on the right rear fender.

From the side, the door handles are semi-hidden with an outward-flip design. The BYD Qin L EV has a length, width, and height of 4720/1880/1495 mm, respectively; with a 2820 mm wheelbase.

Power comes from an electric motor that outputs either 110 kW (148 hp) or 160 kW (215 hp), which correspond to the entry-level and high-end trims, respectively; matched with the BYD Blade lithium iron phosphate battery packs with a capacity of 46.08 kWh and 56.64 kWh. The declared WLTC cruising range is 470 km and 545 km, respectively.
