Hedmos, the new energy vehicle brand under Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroen (DPC), has officially launched its first model, the Hedmos 06, in China. Positioned as a compact pure electric SUV, the vehicle targets the mainstream market segment and is priced between 100,000 and 150,000 yuan (14,000 and 20800 USD).

The official guide price for the Hedmos 06 is 125,800 yuan, but a limited-time introductory price of 108,800 yuan (15,000 USD) is offered.

The Hedmos brand’s design language draws inspiration from a “Light French Aesthetic.” It incorporates sharp lines, dynamic curves, elegant arcs, and tensioned surfaces to create a distinctive style. The design also emphasises simplicity and open, flexible space to align with Chinese consumer preferences.

As an A+ class pure electric SUV, the Hedmos 06 measures 4670mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1617mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2775mm.

Inside, the Hedmos 06 features a minimalist, tech-focused design. It includes a slim full LCD instrument panel and a distinctive two-spoke steering wheel. The central console is highlighted by a floating touchscreen and a multi-layered design that integrates the gear shift area, cup holders, and storage compartments, enhancing space utilisation and cabin depth. Hexagonal air vents add a unique touch.

The Hedmos 06 is powered by an electric motor produced by Zhixin Technology Co., Ltd., delivering a maximum output of 160 kW (215 hp). The SUV has a 62.3 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC range of 520 km. Fast charging allows the battery to be replenished from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes.

Hedmos is a brand established by Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroen, a joint venture between Stellantis Group and Dongfeng formed in 1992. The Hedmos trademark was registered in 2019, with the brand officially launching on March 3, 2025.

Editor’s comment

Based on its Chinese name, “Shijie” (示界) aligns with the naming conventions of Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) for vehicle models. However, it is not affiliated with HIMA. The trademark registration in 2019 suggests this similarity might just be a coincidence.
