Mazda presented its complete vehicle range at the 2025 Chongqing Auto Show, where the Mazda EZ-60 made its regional appearance following its global debut at Auto Shanghai. Developed through a joint partnership between Mazda and Changan Auto, the EZ-60 is positioned as a mid-size SUV. It has generated strong market interest, with more than 26,000 small-deposit pre-orders placed by June 6.

The EZ-60’s current order profile indicates a skew toward younger urban buyers—76% of pre-order customers are aged between 25 and 40, and 71% are from first- and second-tier cities. At the show, Changan Mazda invited two users to share their perspectives—one highlighted the aerodynamic design, while the other focused on interior technology.

The vehicle includes several first-in-segment technologies, such as a 100-inch naked-eye 3D head-up display (HUD) with eye-tracking capability. Designed for complex road environments like Chongqing’s multi-layer interchanges, the HUD also supports a parked display mode and pairs with a 23-speaker Dolby Atmos system. Additional features include a 4nm smart cockpit chip that enables access to over 1,700 in-car functions and a 26.45-inch 5K floating display with adaptive brightness control.

The EZ-60 is currently offered through a small deposit pre-order program. Customers can reserve the vehicle for 10 yuan (approx. 1.50 USD), with the deposit increasing incrementally each day until delivery. The total deposit is fully deductible from the purchase price. Orders are available through Changan Mazda’s official website, app, mini program, or authorised dealers.

Also highlighted at the show was the Mazda EZ-6 Sport Edition, which adds black exterior trim, forged wheels, red brake callipers, and a suede interior with red contrast stitching. The Sport Edition has launched with four trim levels, starting at a guide price of 161,800 yuan (approx. 22,300 USD). The EZ-6 has been exported to Europe and comes standard with nine airbags, complying with Chinese and European safety regulations. It will also undergo crash testing under C-IASI and Euro NCAP.

Changan Mazda also unveiled the CX-5 Onyx Edition with blacked-out trim, continuing a trend across its model range. The company confirmed plans to launch more EVs built on a dedicated platform, combining electrification with driving dynamics rooted in Mazda’s established design philosophy.
