Chery officially launched the all-new QQ Domi, a compact electric hatchback. Positioned as a five-door, five-seat microelectric vehicle, the QQ Domi comes in two configurations with CLTC-rated ranges of 305 km and 405 km, priced at 59,900 yuan and 69,900 yuan (approx. 8,300 – 9,700 USD), respectively.
Built on a compact footprint, the QQ Domi measures 3720 mm in length, 1700 mm in width, and 1608 mm in height, with a 2520 mm wheelbase. The car adopts a youthful design language featuring rounded contours, LED headlights with lenses, trapezoidal lower grille accents, hidden door handles, and a blacked-out C-pillar that creates a floating roof effect. The rear design mirrors the front with a black trim connecting the tail lights. Exterior colour choices include snow white, sky blue, meteor silver, and rouge pink.
Inside, the QQ Domi offers a wraparound interior layout with practical tech features. Two interior colour themes are available: black-grey and pink-grey. Key features include a 7-inch digital instrument panel, 10.25-inch floating central touchscreen, voice recognition, keyless entry and start remote app-based vehicle control, and 40/60 split-folding rear seats. The gear selector is mounted on the steering column, freeing up centre console space. The front seats are integrated in a single-piece style, and the rear seats are designed to maximize space efficiency.
All variants of the QQ Domi come with a 40 kW front-mounted motor delivering 110 Nm of torque and a top speed of 100 km/h. Battery options include a 28.5 kWh and a 39.33 kWh LFP pack, enabling CLTC ranges of 305 km and 405 km, respectively. Both models support fast charging, with a 30% to 80% charge achievable in about 30 minutes. The 405 km version also includes VTOL (vehicle-to-load) capability for powering external devices.
Chery also debuted two refreshed models alongside the QQ Domi:
The QQ Domi enters a competitive segment, facing rivals such as the BYD Seagull (69,800 yuan/ 9,720 USD before subsidies) and Leapmotor T03 (59,900 yuan/ 8,340 USD before subsidies) while offering more attractive entry pricing. With distinctive styling, practical features, and a focus on youthful appeal, Chery aims to strengthen its position in China’s fast-growing small EV market.
