Recently, Geely Galaxy’s M9 large six-seat flagship plug-in hybrid SUV was declared by the Chinese MIIT, built based on Geely’s GEA Evo platform, powered by the latest Leishen (NordThor) “AI” Hybrid 2.0 EM-P system, and equipped with the G-Pilot H5 advanced driving assistance system (ADAS).

Earlier on May 22, the Geely Galaxy M9 debuted at Milan. The appearance adopts the brand’s “Galaxy Ripple” design language, featuring a matrix light panel under the through-type light strip that runs across the closed front face, slender headlights, a lower trapezoidal grille, and a roof lidar. It is worth pointing out that the G-Pilot H5 ADAS supports Navigation-on-Autopilot without reliance on high-definition maps and can brake at a maximum speed of 130 km/h under automatic emergency braking.

The rear is equipped with through-type taillights, a luminous Geely brand logo, and chrome-decorated exhaust outlets on the bumper. The Geely Galaxy M9 has body dimensions of 5205/1999/1800 mm, a wheelbase of 3030 mm, an approach angle of 19°, and a departure angle of 17°. Three curb weights were declared: 2530 kg, 2400 kg, and 2180 kg. The car runs on 255/50R20 and 265/45R21 tires.

Other configurations include optional door handle/front bumper/side/rear bumper trims, front and tail logos, and non-privacy glass.

Furthermore, the declared powertrain specs include a 120 kW (161 hp) 1.5T engine (model BHE15-CFZ) and lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by CATL. The entry-level trim has an 18.4 kWh battery pack with a WLTC pure electric range of 85 km while the high-end trim has a 41.46 kWh battery pack with a WLTC pure electric range of 170 km or 185 km. The lowest WLTC fuel consumption per 100 km is 5.6 L.
The official 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time is 4.5 seconds and the comprehensive range is 1,500 km. Additionally, the official claimed the Leishen “AI” Hybrid 2.0 EM-P system features real-time dynamic torque distribution based on the recognition of various road conditions.

Inside, the cockpit has a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch co-pilot entertainment screen, and a head-up display. The official also stated that the Geely Galaxy M9 comes with the “world’s first next-generation AI intelligent cockpit” that supports “the world’s first in-vehicle intelligent AI agent”.

Positioned as a six-seater, the interior adopts a 2+2+2 layout and a 180 mm wide aisle. The third row of seats can recline to 150°.
