As of June 27, the Chery Fulwin A9L plug-in hybrid sedan had received 51,971 pre-orders since the small order opened at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show on April 23. Four trims in FWD and AWD variants were officially available for pre-sale on June 26 with a price range of 159,900 – 229,900 yuan (22,300 – 32,000 USD). The launch will be on July 8 in China.

Consumers can choose from six exterior paints: red, black, silver, purple, green, and gray. 88% of the vehicle body is composed of high-strength steel and aluminum alloy, according to the official. The size of the Chery Fulwin A9L measures 5018/1965/1500 mm, with a 3000 mm wheelbase. The two-wheel and four-wheel drives have a curb weight of 2085 kg and 2230 kg, respectively.

The minimum turning radius is 5.95 m.

Notably, at the rear, the through-type taillight is composed of 320 red LED units. The electric wing can automatically raise or lower when the vehicle speed reaches 90 km/h or 110 km/h, respectively; and can generate 425 N of downforce at 180 km/h.

The powertrain is supported by Chery’s Kunpeng super performance electric Hybrid C-DM 6.0 system with a 115 kW (154 hp)/220 Nm 1.5T engine and 33.67 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries as the standard, mated to a DHTPro.

Under fast charging, it takes 14.5 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%.

As for the interior, a large area is covered in leather and suede material, decorated with wood grain patterns. The cockpit is powered by Chery’s Lingxi Smart Cabin 2.0 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip and features a 10.25-inch floating LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, and a double-spoke D-shape steering wheel.

Configurations including an AI voice assistant, remote control, Bluetooth, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable front seats, and 50 W wireless charging for mobile phones are all present.

The entire series comes with nine airbags.

The sound system consists of either 8, 12, or 23 speakers, depending on the trims.

Additionally, the standard trunk volume is 405 L.
