Chery’s Jetour Shanhai L7 Plus PHEV official images unveiled ahead of August launch
On July 24, Chery’s Jetour brand released the official images of its Shanhai L7 Plus plug-in hybrid SUV. As the name suggests, the new car is a bigger version of the Shanhai L7. The market entry is expected to be in the second half of August.
For reference, the Shanhai L7 has a price range of 129,800 to 159,800 yuan (18,500 to 22,800 USD)




In the exterior, the notable differences are the new headlight, taillight, and semi-hidden door handle designs, compared to the Shanhai L7. The advanced driving assistance system is supported by Chery’s Falcon 500, which can perform highway NOA (navigation on autopilot), urban memory NOA, and parking assist.
The onboard plug-in hybrid system consists of a 1.5T engine model SQRH4J15, an electric motor, and matched with a 32.659 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The engine has a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp), bringing the comprehensive system power to 265 kW (355 hp) and the torque to 530 Nm. The official CLTC pure electric range is 220 km and the comprehensive range is 1500 km.

The length, width, and height of the Jetour Shanhai L7 Plus are 4810/1930/1705 mm, and the wheelbase is 2820 mm, positioned as a mid-size SUV. The new car is 61 mm longer, 30 mm wider, 15 mm shorter than the Shanhai L7. The wheelbase is also 75 mm longer.


Seven passengers can fit as the standard. All seats support electric adjustment, and can be folded down to become a nearly 3-meter long bed with the click of a button. The third-row seats can be folded down to convert into a five-seater layout and expand the trunk volume from 658 L to 1708 L.

The interior adopts a dual-color design and comes with a three-spoke flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, a full LCD instrument panel, and a 15.6-inch floating central control screen that can rotate either 10° towards the left or right.


Othee configurations including ambient lighting, additional storage space under the center console, cupholders, wireless charging pads, 12 speakers, refrigerator, and an AI voice assistant are all present.
