10,000th Leapmotor B01 electric sedan rolled off production line 7 days after the launch
On July 30, Leapmotor announced that its 10,000th Leapmotor B01 vehicle rolled off the production line in China. The Leapmotor B01 was launched on July 24 with a price range of 89,800 to 119,800 yuan (12,500 to 16,700 USD). Within 72 hours of its launch, 10,132 firm orders were received.

The entire series is RWD, offering CLTC cruising ranges of 430 km, 550 km, and 650 km. Among the first batch of buyers, over 70% chose the 650 km version, 72% were under 35 years old, and 48% were female, according to Cao Li, Leapmotor Senior Vice President.


The Leapmotor B01 was the first vehicle under the brand’s B series. Compared to the C series, which primarily targets family-oriented consumers with vehicles under the 200,000 yuan (27,900 USD) segment, the B Series targets a younger demographic and the 100,000 to 150,000 yuan (13,900 to 20,900 USD) market.


The Leapmotor B01 boasts a drag coefficient of 0.197 Cd and a fastback angle of 17.2°. Its body dimensions measure 4770/1880/1490 mm, and the wheelbase is 2735 mm.


The Leapmotor Pilot advanced driving assistance system onboard the top-of-the-line version is supported by 27 sensors, including one lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 radars, and 11 cameras, to realize highway NOA, urban NOA, and parking assist.

Power comes from either a 100 kW (134 hp)/175 Nm, 132 kW (177 hp)/175 Nm, or 160 kW (215 hp)/240 Nm rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, matched with 56.2 kWh, 43.9 kWh, or 67.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The top speed is 160 km/h and the fastest 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 6.4 seconds.
Under DC fast charging, it takes 18 to 19 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%. Slow charging takes 3.8 hours to 5.6 hours, depending on the versions.
A tire blowout stabilization system is also present and can handle a maximum vehicle speed of 120 km/h.

Inside, the cockpit is paired with the Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus operating system and sits on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P or 8295P chip. Two screens are also present, including an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 14.6-inch 2.5K central control screen.
In the first half of 2025, Leapmotor’s cumulative deliveries exceeded 220,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of more than 150%.
