The vehicle has a 240L front trunk (frunk), which has been a central point in the vehicle’s marketing campaign. This frunk can accommodate two 20-inch suitcases plus a children’s luggage and backpack, or a single 30-inch check-in luggage. According to Onvo, it’s spacious enough to hold a week’s worth of family groceries.

Additionally, the rear trunk offers 430L of space (including 106L of hidden storage), further enhancing the vehicle’s utility for family users.

Interior
The front seats of Onvo L90 offer 12-way power adjustment, while the second-row seats provide 4-way power adjustment with zero-gravity seats featuring 10-way power adjustment. The second row boasts wide 535mm seatbacks and 520mm seat cushions, complemented by large aviation-style headrests that increase contact area by 15%. The third row maintains a vertical seating height of 962mm with a 330mm seat height and 532mm full cushion width, with backrests adjustable up to 38 degrees.

The L90 comes equipped with an 8.86L onboard refrigerator that can hold twelve 330ml soda cans and supports various temperature settings between 0-50°C. This refrigerator consumes 2 kWh of power per week and remains operational even when the vehicle is locked.
Entertainment options include a 17.3-inch 3K high-definition ceiling entertainment screen and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen with dual desktop options.

The L90 features a standard Onvo Sound Premium system with 23 speakers with a maximum output of 2048W. The system boasts 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos certification.
Technology
The L90 comes standard with an 85kWh battery pack that can charge from 10-80% in just 25 minutes. Range figures stand at 605km for the RWD version and 570km for the AWD variant.
On the performance side, the L90 employs a 900V high-voltage architecture, heat pump air conditioning, PTC heater, onboard charger, DC voltage converter, and battery pack.
The L90’s cabin technology includes a 35-inch AR-HUD and a 17.2-inch 3K central control screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip with 60 TOPS of AI computing power. It comes standard with 24GB of automotive-grade DDR4 RAM and 256GB of storage, running the Coconut 2.0.0 system.
Powertrain
The L90 features the same 925V high-performance silicon carbide permanent magnet synchronous motor as the Nio ET9, weighing 79kg and occupying only 37L of space. The rear motor delivers a peak power of 340kW (456 hp) with a maximum rotation speed of 20,000rpm, enabling the RWD version to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds. The all-wheel drive version adds a 900V asynchronous induction front motor with 100kW (134 hp) peak power, allowing 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.7 seconds.

Editor’s comment
The L90 will directly compete with Li Auto’s i8, which just launched this week. The day after the Li Auto i8’s release, its stock price dropped by nearly 13%, indicating a lack of market confidence in its starting price of 321,800 yuan (44,830 USD). From a pricing perspective, the Onvo L90 appears to have competitive advantages over the Li Auto i8, the most expensive seven-seater Ultra version is more affordable than i8’s starting price. Let’s see what the launch of Onvo L90 will bring to Nio’s stock price.
