Chery‘s iCAR brand officially unveiled its new mid-to-large size off-road SUV, the iCAR V27, at an event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The model continues the brand’s characteristic boxy and rugged styling and is powered by an extended-range system. The vehicle is expected to launch in China in the fourth quarter of 2025, with a price range estimated between 200,000 and 250,000 yuan (approximately 28,000 to 35,000 USD), according to Yiche.

The iCAR V27 carries forward the family’s hard-edged “box” design language. Its front fascia features a two-tone grille with bold horizontal slats, paired with oval-shaped LED headlamps and a sturdy front bumper, projecting a robust appearance. The front lower bumper suggests a relatively large approach angle, indicating off-road capability.

The V27 has flat roofline and bold fender flares.

From the side, the V27 displays sharp, well-defined body lines, traditional pull-type door handles, pronounced wheel arches, and sporty five-spoke wheels. Black decorative elements are added around the front fenders and other parts of the body, accentuating its off-road character. The roofline is primarily flat, complemented by a split panoramic sunroof.

At the rear, the SUV is equipped with vertically stacked taillights in a rectangular shape, a side-opening tailgate, an externally mounted spare tire, and a sturdy rear bumper consistent with off-road design cues. The tailgate design and the rear spoiler add to the vehicle’s distinctive profile and functionality.

In terms of dimensions, the V27 measures nearly 5 meters in length, comparable to models like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Land Rover Defender 110. The powertrain features a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor in an extended-range setup. Both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions will be available, with the four-wheel-drive model producing a combined maximum output of around 335 kW (approximately 449 horsepower). The vehicle offers an estimated pure electric CLTC range of about 200 kilometres.

The iCar V27 is positioned as the flagship SUV of the iCar lineup and is planned for release in the domestic market by the end of 2025.
