GWM’s 2026 Haval Raptor PHEV features updated designs and 443hp
On August 5, Great Wall Motor’s (GWM) Haval brand released more official images of its 2026 Haval Raptor Hi4 plug-in hybrid SUV. The facelift model features changes to its exterior and interior, and is equipped with GWM’s Hi4 system. The official launch date is still pending Haval’s announcement.

For reference, four trims of the 2024 Haval Raptor Hi4 PHEV are currently on sale on the Chinese market, with a price range of 165,800 to 192,800 yuan (23,080 to 26,800 USD). Two WLTC pure electric ranges are offered: 81 km and 115 km. Earlier in May, an ICE variant was introduced to the series.

In the exterior, the headlights have been upgraded from the current round to square shapes, each consisting of 123 LED units, providing an illumination distance of 189 m, combined with a 1,088 mm long light strip.

The side profile retains the boxy shape, with straight lines, black wheel eyebrows, conventional door handles, roof luggage racks, and black rims. It is worth pointing out that the wheel eyebrows have been widened by 30 mm.

Coming to the rear, the taillight adopts a new horizontal rectangular design, comprised of 300 LED units. The popular external spare tire remains unchanged, but the logo in the middle has been changed from “HAVAL” to “GWM”.

A new mint green is also added. The body dimensions remain unchanged: 4800/1950/1843 mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 2738 mm, positioned as a compact SUV.
Furthermore, the onboard advanced driving assistance system is supported by seven cameras, one millimeter-wave radar, and 12 ultrasonic radars to realize high-speed NOA and parking assistance.
Power comes from GWM’s new generation of Hi4 plug-in hybrid four-wheel drive system, consisting of a 1.5T engine (model GW4B15M) and dual electric motors, delivering a combined power of 330 kW (443 hp) and peak torque of 750 Nm, according to Chinese social media 163. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 5.9 seconds. Additionally, the 35.43 kWh ternary lithium battery pack offers a WLTC pure electric range of 151 km. The vehicle curb weight is 2,135 kg. At this time, the official comprehensive range has not been revealed.
For comparison, the 2024 Haval Raptor Hi4 has a combined system power of 220 kW (295 hp) and peak torque of 510 Nm. The top speed is 190 km/h. The fastest 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 6 seconds.

Inside, the interior features a redesigned two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel and a reduced number of physical buttons. At the same time, a paddle shifter is added to the steering wheel while the gear shifter is cancelled. The vehicle operating system is supplied by GWM’s Coffee OS 3.
We’ll watch closely for more info.
