Aito, the premium intelligent electric vehicle brand from Huawei and Seres, has officially filed the new Aito M7 with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The latest iteration of the M7 boasts increased dimensions, a choice of extended-range electric (EREV) or pure electric powertrains, and the integration of Huawei’s ADS 4 intelligent driving system.
The new Aito M7 measures 5,080/1,999/1,780 mm in l/w/h, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. This represents an increase over the current M7’s 5,020 mm length and 2,820 mm wheelbase. The vehicle will be available in both 5-seat and 6-seat configurations. For comparison, the Aito M8 measures 5,190 mm long with a 3,105 mm wheelbase.
Visually, the new Aito M7 adopts the brand’s latest design language, aligning with the aesthetic of the M8. It is highlighted by a closed-off front fascia with slim, connected headlights creating a continuous LED light effect. The front bumper design mirrors that of the M8 and M9, with the EREV variant distinguished by chrome accents. The side profile incorporates semi-hidden door handles and multi-spoke wheels. The rear is characterised by a new full-width taillight design, topped with the “AITO” emblem, similar to the M8.

The new M7 will offer four wheel styles across 20-inch and 21-inch options. Tire specifications include 255/50 R20 for the front and 275/50 R20 for the rear on 20-inch wheels, and 265/45 R21 for the front and 285/45 R21 for the rear on 21-inch wheels.

Under the hood, the new Aito M7 will offer both EREV and pure electric powertrains. The EREV model features a 1.5T range extender with a maximum power output of 118 kW (158 hp). It will be available in two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) configurations. The 2WD version’s single drive motor delivers 227 kW (304 hp), while the 4WD version combines front and rear motors with 165 kW (221 hp) and 227 kW (304 hp) respectively, for a combined output of 392 kW (526 hp). Both EREV variants will have a top speed of 200 kph.

The pure electric version also comes in 2WD and 4WD options. The 2WD model’s drive motor produces 227 kW (304 hp), while the 4WD model utilises front and rear motors with (221 hp) and 227 kW (304 hp), respectively, achieving a combined output of 392 kW (526 hp) and a top speed of 200 kph.

For intelligent driving, the new M7 will be equipped with Huawei ADS 4. This system incorporates a new 3-distributed 4D millimetre-wave radar matrix, two 4D millimetre-wave corner radars, and a rear solid-state LiDAR.

The refreshed Aito M7 is poised to compete with models like the Li Auto L7, Xiaomi YU7, Wey Lanshan, and Xpeng G9.
