Great Wall Motor’s (GWM) 2026 Haval Raptor PHEV off-road SUV will officially enter the Chinese market on August 19. The new car mainly adjusts the exterior styling, is equipped with GWM’s second-generation Hi4 technology, and adds a 35.43 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, which increased the CLTC pure electric range to 200 km.

For reference, the Haval Raptor PHEV currently on sale has a price range of 165,800 to 192,800 yuan (23,100 to 26,800 USD). An ICE variant is also on the market with a price range of 156,900 to 166,900 yuan (21,800 to 23,200 USD).

In the front, the round headlights have been swapped out to use the same square headlight as the ICE variant. The conventional door handles are retained.

The rear logo on the spare tire is changed from the current “HAVAL” to “GWM”, and the taillights adopt a new rectangular design.

Consumers will be able to choose from five exterior paints: white, two shades of gray, black, and mint. The body dimensions are 4800/1950/1843 mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 2738 mm.

The advanced driving assistance system comes from GWM’s Coffee Pilot Plus, supporting more than 20 assisted driving functions, including high-speed NOA, parking assist, and remote parking.

Compared with the 1.5T engine (GW4B15E) used in the current model, the maximum power is reduced from 123 kW to 115 kW, the peak torque is 243 Nm, and the thermal efficiency is 41.5%. Overall, the comprehensive system power is increased by 17% to 330 kW (443 hp), the total torque is 750 Nm, and the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 5.9 seconds.

A ternary lithium battery pack with a capacity of 35.43 kWh is also added, providing a pure electric range of 200 km under CLTC conditions (or 151 km under WLTC conditions). At the same time, the 18.74 kWh and 27.54 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack options are retained, offering a pure electric range of 102 km and 145 km under CLTC conditions (81 km and 115 km under WLTC conditions, respectively).
