GWM’s Tank 500 Hi4-T/Hi4-Z off-roader unveils 2026 model starting from 50,000 USD with ADAS upgrades
Great Wall Motor‘s Tank brand opens pre-orders tonight for the 2026 Tank 500 Hi4-T and Hi4-Z full-size SUV. The Tank 500 Hi4-T starts at 360,000 yuan (50,000 USD) and Hi4-Z starts at 388,800 yuan (54,000 USD).
A notable addition of the exterior is the roof-mounted LiDAR sensor. This means the adoption of Great Wall Motor’s third-generation driver-assistance system, Coffee Pilot Ultra. Dimensions remain consistent with the current model, measuring 5078/1934/1905mm in l/w/h, with a wheelbase of 2850 mm.
Off-road prowess, with approach and departure angles of 29 and 24 degrees, respectively, and a minimum ground clearance of 210 mm. The rear of the vehicle sees minor changes, primarily a new “GWM TANK” badge.

The interior receives more revisions, the cockpit includes a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central infotainment display, and a head-up display. The system runs on the Coffee OS 3 intelligent operating system and now includes an infrared night vision system for enhanced safety. The centre console has been redesigned for a cleaner look. Dual 50W wireless charging pads are also an addition.

The new models feature plush Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. For extended journeys, the rear seats offer a recline adjustment range of 25-35 degrees. Rear passengers will also enjoy a 17.3-inch ceiling-mounted screen with 3K resolution, supporting multiple control methods including gesture, voice, touch, smartphone, remote, and a rear armrest screen. Furthermore, a compressor-based hot and cold storage box with a temperature range of -6°C to 50°C (21°F to 122°F) is available.

The Hi4-T version combines a 2.0T engine with a single electric motor and a 9HAT transmission, delivering a combined system output of 300 kW (402 hp). It features a 37.1 kWh battery, providing an electric-only range of 110 km under WLTC conditions, and is equipped with a non-decoupling four-wheel-drive structure. The Hi4-Z version utilises a 2.0T engine with dual electric motors and a 3-speed DHT transmission, boasting a combined system output of 645 kW (865 hp) and 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. This variant comes with a larger 59.05 kWh battery, offering an electric-only range of 201 km under WLTC conditions.
