Spy photos of the upcoming Shangjie H5, a mid-size SUV developed jointly by Huawei and SAIC, have surfaced online. As the fifth brand from the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), the Shangjie H5 will be offered in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, and will feature Huawei’s advanced ADS 4 autonomous driving system.

The Shangjie H5 is smaller than the Aito M7 and Luxeed R7, sparking speculation regarding its pricing. CarNewsChina estimates the price to be under 200,000 yuan (27,500 USD).

In terms of design, the front fascia of Shangjie H5 features sleek, blacked-out headlights complemented by dynamic air ducts on either side. A LiDAR sensor is integrated into the front, indicating its readiness for the HUAWEI ADS 4 system. According to its Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) filings info, dimensions for the Shangjie H5 are 4780/1910/1664mm in l/w/h, with a wheelbase of 2840 mm. The rear of the vehicle showcases a through-type taillight design, accented by a chrome strip that spans the width of the tailgate.

This variant boasts a CLTC pure electric range of 230 km and a combined range of 1300 km. For the BEV version, drive motor maximum power outputs will vary between 150 kW (201 hp) and 180 kW (241 hp) depending on the configuration, with a maximum CLTC pure electric range of 655 km. Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) filings indicate pure electric ranges of 525km, 535km, 640km and 655km for the BEV models.
