Dongfeng Motor’s Voyah brand officially released a set of camouflaged teaser images for its “new-era flagship SUV” with an internal codename called Taishan. The new car will be equipped with the latest Huawei Qiankun ADS 4.0 Ultra four-lidar solution that can realize level 3 conditional autonomous driving capabilities along with an 800V high-voltage system. The official market entry will be in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Voyah Taishan is positioned as a full-size six-seater SUV with a length of about 5.3 meters and a wheelbase of about 3.1 meters. Underpinning by the Tianyuan Architecture, the Voyah Taishan comes with Dongfeng’s self-developed vehicle control platform powered by Huawei’s Qiankun automotive control modules.

For the appearance, the front face adopts Voyah’s family design, similar to the Voyah Passion L, with a central vertical square grille, two smaller vents at the bottom, and slender headlights. A lidar is located on the front roof.

The rear adopts through-type taillights.

From the side, the Voyah Taishan comes with semi-hidden door handles and multi-spoke rims.
At this time, the detailed three-row six seat layout interior and powertrain specifications have not been revealed officially.
Previously, Lu Fang, CEO of Voyah, revealed that Taishan was undergoing summer testing in Xinjiang, China, and cooperating with Huawei to conduct related tests on intelligent assisted driving and smart cockpits.
Furthermore, according to Chinese news outlet Sohu, the car will most likely be available in BEV and PHEV variants. The BEV is expected to be equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system that outputs a combined power of 500 kW (671 hp) and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of less than 4 seconds, paired with a large-capacity battery pack to provide a CLTC range of 700 km.
