Updated Voyah Courage, a Model Y competitor, launched in China for 28,200 USD

Ahead of the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show, Voyah officially launched its updated Courage pure electric SUV today. The new model, available in three variants, is positioned as a mid-size electric SUV and comes with an official guide price ranging from 202,900 yuan (28,200 USD) to 242,900 yuan (33,800 USD).

Built on an advanced 800V high-voltage platform, the Voyah Courage boasts features including 5C fast charging, Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving, and the HarmonySpace 5 smart cockpit.

The updated Voyah Courage features a 46.75-inch “Flashing Star River Smart Light Screen” on the front fascia. This light system supports eight preset light effects, including welcome/farewell animations, parking indicators, charging status displays, and music light shows, with further customisation available via OTA updates.

In terms of dimensions, the Courage measures 4810mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1636mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 2925mm. The side profile features a fluid design, accentuated by hidden B, C, and D pillars, creating a dynamic and elegant silhouette.

Inside, the Courage’s cabin is a hub of smart technology and comfort. It features a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument cluster complemented by an AR-HUD head-up display. A 15.6-inch floating touchscreen is powered by the HarmonySpace 5 system and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip.

For intelligent driving, the Qiankun version of the Courage is equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4 driving assistance system. This system utilises a 192-line LiDAR and a total of 29 sensors placed around the vehicle.

The interior provides 35 storage points, including a 72L private storage compartment and a 7L hot/cold refrigerator. The Voyah Sound audio system is complete with headrest speakers and ambient lighting around the door panel speakers. Other amenities include wireless phone charging, rear tray tables, and OEKO-TEX baby-grade skin-friendly upholstery.

Underpinning the Courage is an 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform, offering both single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) and dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The RWD variant delivers a maximum power output of 230 kW (308 hp), while the AWD model boasts a front motor with 175 kW (235 hp) and a rear motor with 230 kW (308 hp). Powering the vehicle is an 81 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC range of 650 km. The 5C fast charging capability is supported by a peak charging power of 440 kW. Voyah claims that a mere 15-minute charge can add over 500 km of range.

Voyah is a brand under China’s auto giant Dongfeng. A few days ago, Dongfeng Motor announced that Voyah would list in Hong Kong, and the parent company would go private.
