Nio’s Onvo achieves record August deliveries, unveils seven-seater L90 at Chengdu Auto Show
Onvo, Nio‘s sub-brand, announced today at the opening of the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show that it achieved a new monthly delivery record in August. The Onvo L90 surpassed 10,000 units in deliveries less than a month of launching, a milestone celebrated with the debut of a new seven-seater variant and a fresh colour option.
While specific overall August delivery figures were not immediately disclosed, Onvo confirmed that its L90 model alone exceeded 10,000 units. This marks a recovery and growth for the brand.
Onvo’s delivery performance has seen fluctuations, with 832 units delivered in September last year, climbing to a then-record of 10,528 units in December. Deliveries then saw a dip to 5,912 units in January and 4,049 units in February this year, before beginning a steady upward trend to 6,281 units in May and 6,400 units in June. After a slight decrease to 5,976 units in July, August’s performance has now set a new all-time high for the brand.
The 10,000th Onvo L90 was ceremoniously handed over to actor Guo Tao by Qin Lihong, co-founder of Nio, during the event.
At the Chengdu Auto Show 2025, Onvo unveiled the seven-seater version of the L90. This new configuration is priced between 271,800 and 299,800 yuan. It comes with a rear entertainment screen, a sofa bed, small foldable tables, an in-car refrigerator, and second-row zero-gravity seats. Additionally, Onvo introduced a striking new “Ningye Purple” body colour for the L90.

With two days remaining in August, we do not yet know the precise delivery figures for Onvo for the month. However, the Onvo L90, which launched on 31st July, has already seen over 10,000 deliveries. Coupled with sales of the Onvo L60, there is no doubt that Onvo’s August delivery figures will surpass its previous best performance, which was 10,528 units in December last year.
