On September 5th, the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) opened its all-new M7 for pre-orders, with a price starting at 288,000 yuan (40,300 USD), available in BEV and EREV variants. The number of orders received exceeded 20,000 units in just ten minutes and more than 100,000 units within the first hour, according to HIMA. The official launch is scheduled for September 23.




For comparison, the current model on the market has a starting price of 249,800 yuan (35,000 USD). The all-new Aito M7 has been upgraded in terms of appearance, interior, configuration, and size.


The front face design is similar to that of the Aito M8, adopting a through-type light strip that connects the headlights on both sides. The Aito brand logo has been moved to above the light strip.
Additionally, Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.0 advanced driving assistance system and a lidar are standard across the entire series, with two solutions available. The roof-mounted lidar solution on the high-end trims utilize a 192-line lidar, a rear-facing solid-state lidar, and five 4D millimeter-wave radars.
The other in-cabin laser solution consists of a Limera, which is the combination of a lidar and a camera, to realize obstacle detections as small as 30 cm at night.

The all-new Aito M7 measures 5080/1999/1780 mm (l/w/h), and the wheelbase is 3030 mm. Compared with the current model, the body is 60 mm longer and the wheelbase is 210 mm longer. Both 5- and 6-seater layouts are retained.
The BEV RWD boasts an electric motor wirh a maximum power of 227 kW (304 hp). The AWD comes with an additional front electric motor with a maximum power of 160 kW (215 hp). A 100 kWh battery pack is standard on the BEV, providing two CLTC ranges of 710 km and 660 km.
The EREV is powered by a 1.5L engine as the range-extender with a maximum power of 118 kW (158 hp). The RWD has the same electric motor specifications as the BEV while the AWD comes with an additional 165 kW (221 hp) front electric motor. Matched with 37 kWh and 53 kWh battery options, the EREV offers three CLTC comprehensive ranges: 1,465 km, 1,510 km, and 1,625 km.

Inside, the cabin features a full LCD instrument panel, a 16.1-inch central control screen and an entertainment screen for the co-pilot. Wood trim has been added to the door panels and center console. Furthermore, a rear ceiling entertainment screen, a 7.3L refrigerator, and a zero-gravity driver seat have been added.
