5-meter long iCar V27 off-road EREV is iCar’s longest model, Q4 launch
Chery’s iCar V27 EREV off-road SUV was exposed in a recent filing by the Chinese MIIT. The new car boasts a retro styling and is over 5 meters long, which will make it the largest model under the iCar brand once launched. It is expected to officially enter the market in the fourth quarter of this year.
The front of the vehicle features a square silhouette, with round headlights, the “iCAR” brand logo embedded in the center, and thick black bumpers at the bottom.
From the side, the “V27” logo is marked behind the C-pillar, highlighting the model’s identity.
The iCar V27 has body dimensions of 5055 (4909)/1976/1855 (1894) mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2910 mm. The rim sizes are available in 19 inches and 21 inches, and the tire specifications are 255/55R19 and 265/45R21, respectively.
Eight curb weights were declared: 2,134 kg, 2,084 kg, 2,222 kg, 2,174 kg, 2,316 kg, 2,335 kg, 2,266 kg, and 2,285 kg.
Two rear designs are offered with either a spare tire or a container. An optional towing kit is also available.
At the same time, “iCAR” is printed in the center, combined with vertically arranged taillights and thick black bumper that echoes the front face.
The powertrain consists of a 1.5T engine as the range extender (model SQRH4J15) and an electric motor, matched with lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The engine has a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp) and a WLTC fuel consumption of 1.33L/100km. The top speed is 180 km/h.
The detailed battery pack capacity, range, and electric motor specifications still need to be announced.
The other optional features include a segmented roof, a gold roof, side V27 logo style, front and rear radars, luggage rack, front fender garnish, and privacy glass.
