According to the latest data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), Xiaomi Auto delivered 36,396 vehicles in August. This represents a 19.5% increase month-over-month and a 177.6% surge year-over-year.

This achievement marks the second consecutive month that Xiaomi Auto has maintained deliveries above the 30,000-unit threshold.

Delving into model-specific performance, the Xiaomi SU7 saw 19,848 units delivered in August. This figure represents an 18.69% decrease from July’s 24,410 units and reflects a 51.38% year-over-year growth. The SU7 accounted for 54.53% of Xiaomi Auto’s total deliveries in August.

Editor’s comment

In the automotive sector, Xiaomi is a very young company, having only commenced vehicle deliveries last year. Currently, based on delivery volumes, it has already entered the top ten for new energy vehicles in China, a feat achieved despite its limited production capacity.

Considering new energy vehicle deliveries alone, Xiaomi’s performance has already surpassed that of established automotive powerhouses such as Great Wall Motors. Even when compared to the king of exports, Chery, Xiaomi’s August NEV delivery volume was only approximately 10% lower. Leapmotor’s performance in the table is also noteworthy. However, its average vehicle price is less than half that of Xiaomi’s.
